What is Astrology and How Does it Work?

Astrology is the art of calculating the exact position of the planets and the stars in the heavens at the moment you were born and interpreting that information to find out who you are. Astrology helps us by giving us insight into why we behave a certain way, where we are going in our lives, and possibly even why.

So, how does it work?

Astrology is a complex system, way more detailed than most people tend to assume. When asked for someones "sign", most will typically respond with what is known as their Sun Sign, or the Sign corresponding to the position of the sun the moment they were born. What most people don't know, is that there is a system of 24 signs (and more, if you really get into it) that all must be taken into account for an accurate representation of the person in question. This is believed to be the sole reason most people tend to ignore astrology: They see their sun sign and think "That's not me" or "That is only part true, and besides, it's vague." This is because they are not seeing the deeper, complex side of astrology, the more specific side.

Where does someone find out their signs?

What are the 24 signs?

The 24 signs are a list of 9 planets, your Sun sign, Moon Sign, Ascending Node, and what are known as the Twelve Houses.

The Planets are Mercury, Venus, Mars, Saturn, Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.

The Twelve Houses are based on the position of the planets and signs the day you were born. The Sky is cut into 12 equal segments (like a clock) and each segment is a house. The Houses each represent an aspect of your life: Financial wealth, Love, Family, Death, et cetera.
